Japanreviewed, to be validated

A matsuri (祭) is a traditional Japanese festival, often tied to a Shinto religious celebration. Most matsuri take place in summer and are occasions for gathering, drinking, and dancing. In Tokushima (Shikoku), from August 12 to 15, one of Japan's largest traditional dance festivals takes place: the Awa Odori.
